“Automation of business processes in ASTARTA has been in progress for several years, optimization of warehouse management is one of the stages of the overall process of increasing the effectiveness of agro-production. On the basis of AgriChain Barn we begin to track especially valuable parts due to marking, as well as to control the balance on the warehouse not only in quantitative but also in qualitative indicators because the timely introduction of quality means of plant protection is one of the components of a good harvest. With the help of the system, we plan to optimize logistics costs and automate the document flow, making the process of warehouse management more productive. Currently, the system is being pilot implemented at three enterprises, and by the end of the year we are planning to be implemented at all enterprises of the holding,” said Vadim Skrypnik, Director of Agricultural Production Department ASTARTA-KYIV.
AgriChain Barn is a part of the multi-module AgriChain management platform that combines solutions for land bank management, agro-production, monitoring of crops, storage, purchasing and supply of parts, control of work of machinery, and repairs, and logistics of parts and products.
The system includes the following features:
Control of receipt of parts (the business process of delivery planning);
Organization of acceptance of the basic groups of the part with consideration of quality, terms of suitability, containers, and a series of the supplier; registration of returning to the supplier;
Control of issue of parts (business process on the application for issue; business process on the transfer of goods or containers; Fixing of the transfer of the part in the mobile application by signing by electronic signature on the part of the participants; control of the turnover of balances);
Marking of the part (assignment of unique identification to the most valuable part (units or sets); setting up a list of the parts that need marking; tracking the movement of the part from receiving to storage to return and disposal of the container);
disposal (business process on movement and disposal of containers; signing of the act by the commission in the mobile application by means of electronic signature);
Reporting and document flow (synchronization of documents between mobile application and 1C; history of movement of the part; actual balances and turnover of the part in the warehouse);
Inventory (the business process of inventory of parts; signing of the act by the commission in the mobile application by means of electronic signature).
“The main task of the AgriChain Barn module is to build efficient warehouse logistics using additional equipment (data collection terminals, printers of bar codes, scanners), which allows managing the warehouse, the movement of parts, movement control, and container utilization, thus optimizing logistics costs and warehouse balances”, explained Natalia Bohacheva, CEO AgriChain.
